Are you interested in launching a career in Information Technology but not sure where to start? Break Into IT: Discover the Right Certification for Your New Career is a free, self-paced course designed to introduce you to the world of IT certifications, career pathways, and short-term training options available through HCC’s Institute for Corporate and Continuing Education (ICCE).

In this course, you’ll explore essential IT domains—including technical support, networking, cybersecurity, data analysis, and cloud computing. You’ll gain a clear understanding of foundational and intermediate certifications such as:

  • CompTIA A+ – for foundational IT support skills

  • CompTIA Network+ – for networking and infrastructure

  • CompTIA Security+ – for cybersecurity fundamentals

  • Certified Cloud Practitioner Program– for cloud computing fundamentals. Includes Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Cloud Practitioner Foundational Level, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, and more

  • Microsoft Data Analyst Associate Program – for data analysis and visualization
