Who can enroll in the 2024 Verizon STEM Achievers Camp?
Enrollment is open to all rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Spots are limited, so secure your child’s spot early.
When does enrollment for the 2024 STEM Achievers Summer Camp open?

Does enrollment guarantee my child a spot in the 2024 Verizon STEM Achievers Camp?
Enrollment does NOT guarantee your child a spot in our 2024 Achievers Camp. Spots are limited and we are unable to accept all students. Spots are determined on a first-come, first-served basis so we encourage you to enroll your child early.
I just filled out the enrollment application. Now what?
Once your child’s spot is secured, you will receive a confirmation email within several weeks indicating that your child has been selected to participate in the 2024 session. If we do not have any remaining spots for the 2024 session, you will received an email within several weeks indicating that your child has been placed on our waitlist.
If your child is selected, we may reach out to you regarding additional paperwork and orientation dates. Please ensure you thoroughly read all information in order to prevent your child from losing their spot.
How much does the 2024 STEM Achievers Summer Camp cost?
Enrollment is free for all students.
What will my child learn during camp?
Students will learn a variety of STEM topics, including 3-D Printing & Modeling, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence & Robotics, Circuits & Electronics, and Architecture.
What are the dates for camp?
The girl’s camp takes place from June 10th to June 28th, Monday through Friday. The boy’s camp takes place from July 8th to July 26th, Monday through Friday.
What time does camp start and end at? When can I drop-off/pick-up my child?
Camp instruction is from 9:00AM – 4:00PM. We ask that all students arrive by 8:50AM to ensure that we can start promptly at 9:00AM. Students may be dropped off as early as 8:00AM. Students must be picked up by 5:00PM.
Is transportation provided?
Limited transportation is provided. For the 2024 camp session, general pickup areas include South Hillsborough County and North/Central Tampa areas. More detailed information will be provided closer to the start of camp.
Is food provided?
Lunch is provided to all students. We are able to provide vegetarian options to students, however, please alert us to your child’s needs during Open House so we can ensure we have enough vegetarian options available. We are unable to accommodate other dietary needs at this time, and recommend that students with additional dietary restrictions pack a lunch. We do not provide access to a refrigerator or microwave.
Where can I learn more about the Verizon STEM Achievers 2024 Summer Camp?
We have open houses in both the Fall and the Spring each year, where you can learn more about our camp. Our Spring Open House will be held on April 6th, 2024, from 10am – 2pm. It will be on the Hillsborough Community College (HCC) Dale Mabry Campus.
My child attended camp last year. Can they enroll again for the 2024 session?
You may enroll your child even if they have participated in previous years, however, please understand that the spots for returning campers are very limited. Additionally, be advised that the camp is primarily geared towards new students and covers similar content each year.
