BLS Provider: The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (HCP) Course is an instructor-led course that teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support. This course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. BLS for Healthcare Providers teaches skills using the American Heart Association’s proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows Instructors to observe students, provide feedback, and guide students’ acquisition of skills.

ACLS/PALS Provider: The ACLS and PALS provider courses build on the foundation of lifesaving Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This advanced course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac arrest care. To be successful in any ACLS or PALS course, students should be able to identify ECG rhythms and should know pharmacology specific to cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies before beginning the course.

NOTE: You must pass the ACLS pre-course assessment to be able to take this course. Go here and use the code “lifesupport” to begin. You must bring a copy of your certificate showing that you passed this test.
