Refunds, Cancellations & Substitutions

If you find it necessary to cancel your registration, call the ICCE office immediately at (813) 259-6010. Notify us first by phone and then follow-up your cancellation by written notification using U.S. Mail, fax, e-mail (icce@hccfl.edu and bwhiteside@hccfl.edu), or hand delivery.

Written notice must be received 2 business days prior to the program start date to be eligible for a refund. Please be advised that refunds may take up to three (3) weeks from the point at which a class is cancelled or a student's written notification of cancellation is received.

Refunds will not be made after the start of any program. Participants may substitute another individual at any time. However, CEU credit will not be awarded for substitutions after any program has begun.

We reserve the right to cancel activities that do not meet minimum enrollment levels or for other good cause. Activities cancelled by the College will have refunds processed in-full.

Wednesday, 6:00PM-10:00PM: Classroom only.
Saturday & Sunday 7:00AM until finished: Driving Range.

 Welcome to Hillsborough Community College's Motorcycle Licensing Course for Safe Rider Endorsement.  HCC proudly serves the Tampa Bay area which includes: Tampa, MacDill, Carrollwood, Temple Terrace, USF, Brandon, Plant City, Riverview, New Port Richey, Hudson, Pinellas Park, Clearwater, Seffner, Largo, Seminole, St. Petersburg, Lakeland, Lutz, Wesley Chapel, Zepherhills, South Shore, Ruskin, Sarasota, Manatee, Bradenton and New Port Richey areas.

The Basic Motorcycle Rider Course (BRC) is designed for beginning motorcycle riders and those who have not completed the necessary requirements to receive the Motorcycle endorsement for their Florida Driver's License.
 

Program Benefits:

Those that complete the course will be able to obtain the Motorcycle Endorsement on their CURRENT AND VALID Florida Drivers License.
A Motorcycle is NOT REQUIRED: motorcycles and helmets with full-face shield will be provided at the range. (You may bring your own three-quarters or full, DOT-approved helmet with protective eyewear.)

Learning Objectives:
The course is broken down into two parts:


  • Approximately five hours of classroom instruction on Motorcycle Safety.
  • Ten hours of hands-on application (Driving) on the Motorcycle Range.

All fifteen hours provide a complete introduction to motorcycling.

Who Should Attend:

Motorcycle riders, who have not completed the necessary requirements to receive the Motorcycle endorsement on their CURRENT AND VALID Florida Driver's License.

Prerequisite: Students must be able to ride a bicycle.

During the riding skills portion of the course, students will be required to bring and wear the following mandatory protective gear listed below:

  • A CURRENT AND VALID Florida Driver's License
  • A long-sleeved shirt or jacket,
  • Long fingered gloves (loaners are available),
  • Long pants (jeans are recommended),
  • Sturdy boots or shoes covering the ankles.


A short raincoat, rain suit, or poncho is highly recommended.


PLEASE BE AWARE: Students not wearing the prescribed mandatory protective gear listed above will NOT be permitted to participate in the riding skills portion of the course.

If you do not have a CURRERNT AND VALID Florida Driver's License, you will not be able to take this course or entitled for a refund after attending class.
